Growing up listening to the stories of his granddaddy’s WWII experiences, and watching all the great action movies of the 1980’s & 90’s, Jamie never wanted or considered anything other than serving his country in the US Military. As soon as he could, at age 17 he enlisted in the US Navy, and left for Boot Camp immediately after he graduated High School in 1998.
Throughout his extensive Navy career, Jamie was rated as an Operations Specialist and served tours aboard USS Higgins (DDG-76), USS George Philip (FFG-12), USS Shiloh (CG-67), USS Rentz (FFG-46), and served as direct support for SEAL Team Three, and EOD Mobile Unit Three. Jamie has completed 8 overseas deployments that include 3 shipboard deployments to the Western Pacific in support of the Global War on Terror, and 2 deployments to the Caribbean and Southern Pacific in support of Counter-Transnational Narcotics Smuggling, and 3 deployments to Southern Afghanistan as member of Counter Improvised-Explosive-Device Task Force Paladin. For his stateside “shore duty”, Jamie completed tours as a Water Survival Instructor, and Navy Search & Rescue Swimmer Instructor.
